Getting Started

How do I download the FarePlay app?

FarePlay is available on the App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android. Search for "FarePlay Golf" and download the free app.

How do I create an account?

Open the app and tap "Get Started." Enter your name, phone number, and email address. You will receive an SMS verification code to confirm your phone number. Once verified, your account is ready to use.

Do I need to create an account to order?

Yes, an account is required so we can send you order updates, delivery notifications, and save your payment information for faster checkout in the future.

Placing an Order

How do I place an order?

Open the FarePlay app while on the course. Browse the menu, add items to your cart, review your order, and tap "Place Order." Your GPS location is detected automatically so the beverage cart knows where to find you.

Can I customize my order?

Yes. Many items have modifier options such as "extra ice," "no lime," or "add a side." These options appear when you tap on an item to add it to your cart.

Can I order for other people in my group?

Yes. Simply add all the items to your cart and place a single order. You can include items for everyone in your foursome.

What if an item I want is not available?

The menu shows real-time availability. If an item is grayed out or marked as unavailable, it means the cart is currently out of that item. Check back later as carts are restocked throughout the day.

Location and Delivery

How does the app know where I am?

FarePlay uses your phone's GPS to detect your location on the golf course. Make sure location services are enabled for the FarePlay app in your phone settings.

What if my GPS location is wrong?

If your location seems off, you can add a note to your order with your current hole number or a landmark. The cart operator will use this information to find you.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times vary depending on the course layout and cart availability. You will receive a notification when the cart operator is on their way and another when they arrive.

Do I need to wait at one spot for my order?

Keep playing. The cart operator can see your updated location as you move along the course. Just keep your phone with you so you receive the arrival notification.

Payment

What payment methods are accepted?

FarePlay accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. You can save a card for faster checkout on future orders.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. FarePlay never stores your full card number on our servers.

How do tips work?

During checkout, you can select a tip percentage or enter a custom tip amount. Tips go directly to the cart operator who delivers your order.

Where can I find my receipt?

Receipts are available in the app under your order history. You can also have a receipt sent to your email address.

Notifications

What notifications will I receive?

You will receive notifications when your order is confirmed, when the cart operator is on the way, and when they arrive at your location.

How do I enable notifications?

When you first use the app, it will ask for notification permissions. If you declined, go to your phone's Settings, find FarePlay, and enable notifications.

Order Issues

Can I cancel an order?

You can cancel an order if it has not yet been picked up by a cart operator. Open your active order in the app and tap "Cancel Order." If the order is already being prepared or delivered, contact the course staff for assistance.

What if I received the wrong item?

Contact the course staff or the beverage cart operator directly. You can also use the "Report an Issue" option in your order history within the app.

What if I was charged incorrectly?

Contact the golf course directly or reach out to FarePlay support at support@fareplaygolf.com. Include your order number and a description of the issue.

Account Management

How do I update my phone number or email?

Open the app, go to your profile settings, and update your information. A new phone number will require SMS verification.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@fareplaygolf.com. We will process your request and confirm once your account has been removed.

I forgot my login. How do I get back in?

FarePlay uses SMS verification to log you in. Enter the phone number associated with your account and you will receive a verification code to access your account.
